Let It Ride Poker has become quite a popular casino game. It is offered at over 200 casinos. This table game brings about excitement with the ability to take back bets or Let It Ride depending on how the hand is going. If played correctly, this game can be profitable. The house edge unfortunately creates the need to avoid those bad stretches of cards that are inevitable in poker.

Rules

Let It Ride Poker is a table game where the players play against the house. Each player must put out three equal bets. The amount limits depend on the table's rules. Tables will post a minimum bet required and a maximum allowed.

Once each player has their three bets out in the field, the dealer will begin to deal. Each player is dealt three cards. At this point, each player can look at their cards and make their first betting decision. They do not have the option to fold like in many other poker games.

At this point, you only have the option to leave all of your three bets stand or pull one of your three backs back. Pulling your bet back means returning it to your stack or taking it out of play.

The option to pull your bet back starts to the dealer's left and moves clockwise. Once this phase has completed, the dealer reveals one of his two cards.

At this point, it gets interesting. The dealer reveals his second card and you now have the option to take another bet back or leave your bets out there. This is regardless of what you chose to do in the first betting round. So, at this point you either have all three of your bets out there, two of your bets out there or only one bet remaining.

Let It Ride has a pay out table that pays you if you hit a hand within the normal poker ranking system. There are many different pay out tables that are used but below is a chart of the most commonly used one. The standard puts a Royal Flush at 1000 to 1; however, other tables may put it at 500 to 1 or something different.

This is the most widely used chart:

• Royal Flush - 1000 to 1
• Straight Flush - 200 to 1
• Four Of A Kind - 50 to 1
• Full House - 11 to 1
• Flush - 8 to 1
• Straight - 5 to 1
• Three Of A Kind - 3 to 1
• Two Pair - 2 to 1
• Pair - 1 to 1

If you don't hit any of the above hands, you lose. The house has an edge of -3.51% or +3.51% however you look at it. So, If you are betting $5 bets for your three bets, you can expect to lose 17 1/2 cents each hand on average.

Odds of hands in which you will pull your bets back:

• 93% - Take first bet back
• 85% - Take second bet back
• 6.2% - Leave all three bets in play

Strategy

The strategy is pretty simple. If you don't hit anything in your three cards, you're pulling a bet back. If after the dealer shows a card, you still haven't hit anything, you're pulling your second bet back. Your third bet is in regardless.

If you hit a pair in your first three cards, you are getting paid guaranteed. Leave your three cards out there and hope the hand improves. The better it gets, the more money you're going to make.

Let It Ride Poker is a fun table game that has a minimal house edge and allows you to maximize your profits when you hit it big. A Royal Flush offers a 1000 to 1. It's rare, but it's possible and it does happen. Make sound decisions and look carefully at your cards. Don't get sucked into the big draws too often. They can be nice if you hit but the odds are not in your favor.
